Tras años de trabajo The National lanzará finalmente su disco tributo a Grateful Dead.

“Day of the Dead” se llamará el álbum de seis horas de duración y que contendrá 59 canciones que saldrán a la venta el 20 de mayo via 4AD.

El disco fue producido por los hermanos Aaron y Bryce Dessner y contará con covers de The National, Wilco, The Flaming Lips, Courtney Barnett, The War on Drugs, Bruce Hornsby con Justin Vernon, Bill Callahan, The Walkmen, Kurt Vile and J Mascis, Jenny Lewis, TV on The Radio, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Real Estate, Phosphorescent y Stephen Malkmus, entre otros.
